winter time bluesWow, 2000 pageviews. That's really nothing compared to some people on DA but I'm happy for it nonetheless. Hopefully I can keep up, if not increase the pace of creating pieces and slapping them up here. I'm leaving my retail job after Christmas and hopefully joining up with a local non-profit group as an art director for after school activities for kids. Wish me luck!! Now to get started on the Archangel concepts....
I def want his hair to be much longer as an archangel, like straight long and wavy, and dark brown if you need a color. Just make him look like me, only really muscular and tough looking with scars all over his face and body, but still handsome. I'm playing with the idea of him having an eyepatch (Since Lucifer blinded him so he could never again look upon another angel's lover with lust) Maybe God healed one of his eyes, and left the other socket empty to remind the Angel of his sin he committed. In the story the angel has the gift of "God's Eyes" which allow him to see the past and future, and look straight through people's souls to uncover the truth. This could be a mystical 'third eye' rather than two physical eyes. So, he could have just one visible eye if you think this would make him look tougher.
For outfit, I don't think armor would be as appropriate. Only Medieval angels wore knight's armor. And he is invincible as long as he holds his holy blade Seraphiel anyway. So I'm thinking either baggy toga-like outfits or short robes cut off at the knees, like a traditional garb that only warrior angels wear. (Angels wear styles appropriate to the time periods in which they lived, but since Archangels are an ancient and sacred brotherhood their garb is very old world and traditional. Think biblical. Nothing too girly.
